Putting out the fires in life.

"Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have - life itself."  Walter Anderson

There are three steps to understanding your challenges in life:
1. Describe in detail what happened and why.
2. List how you feel about what has happened.
3. Decide what it is you want from this experience.

Often times we spend days, weeks, and even months worried and overwhelmed before we really understand what actually happened.  Responding in a logical way trying to see the whole picture helps to keep the irrational responses to a limit.

Once you decide what you want to take away from it, you can create a plan on how to deal with it.

Learn to put out the fires in life as quickly as possible before they get out of control.
